Recently, Tianjin Customs(formerly Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau) destroyed a batch of syrups imported from France. The total cargo was 10080 kg. When the customs staff inspected the product, it was found that the ingredients of the Chinese label sample of the product contained acid red as a food additive; When checking the comparison, it is determined that the actual goods are also marked with the above food additives. According to the standard for the use of food additives in our country, the above food additives shall not be used in syrup, and Tianjin customs decides that the goods are not qualified accordingly. Tianjin customs food safety supervision department experts said that acid red is a colorant, often used in frozen drinks, baked food fillings and other foods, but national standards are not allowed to be added in syrup.
