Russia: 5 per cent reduction in beet cultivation

The Russian sugar producers 'union said on Thursday that sugar beet tests grown in Russia in the second half of the year showed an average root weight of 133 grams, down from 149 grams in the same period last year.
Data show that the Russian planting of sugar beet 110,000 hectares this year, a decrease of 5 % compared with the same period last year.
